Finally I have internet!

Ahhh I feel less like a homeless person camping out in an empty home and more like me again! Someone told me today that without internet maybe the family could have bonded better. I just laughed :)

It was an interesting journey. I suspect the cabin crew on the 747 tried to poison me... there was enough salt in those eggs to make the Dead Sea look filtered. On the way to the airport the car in front of us had a pig lying in the back with his legs up against the window. He might have been dead. He might even have been a she. I guess we'll never know. :'(

We went to Ikea this afternoon to buy stuff for the house. I'm amazed at how much we managed to get into the car, which is awesome by the way, but only ours for a week. I'll try to find a picture of it sometime for you, Mum.

Well, I'd better get back to helping making chairs. Not that I'm at all talented in this area, but if my absence is noted, the fact that I'm on the computer may be somewhat frowned upon...

You know you've reached a new high...

When the car engine is revving and they're screaming at me from the car to 'Get in or stay home'.
Am I acting upon this threat? No! I am blogging that we are now leaving.
I was told that I had to be in the car by 04:15 and it's clearly only 04:07 - so I'm perfectly safe staying as I am.
Well, my eardrums aren't safe. I doubt there's a person on the street who isn't awake, aware that we're leaving due to incessant, irritating noise.
I think they've gone! Left me!!
I'd better run, maybe......?

So I Guess...

We'll do this the Turnbull way... and blog about it :)

So many people have asked me to let them know what happens when we're away for the WHOLE SUMMER... (and yes, that was just put in to make you sick with jealousy) so I thought, why not start a blog and that way I don't have to keep in touch with everyone.
Judging by the way my previous blogs have gone, it is possible that this will not be updated very often, but I do promise to try...

Obviously I'm not away from home yet, so this is the plan:

Dad and seven of us will fly to Michigan next week. Dad will stay there for roughly three weeks, then come home. Alex, Rupert, Lucy and myself will remain in Grand Rapids until September, where we fly home the day after Labour Day. Obviously it's rather scary, and depressing in some ways since I've found out that I simply cannot take ALL my stuff, but I think we'll get past that.

Hopefully there will be many pictures, actually, if I get a tan, well duh, of course there will be pictures...

Guess I should get some awesome leaving pics now and put them up, but it's past 1am and I've been sitting on this hard table for two hours, which means my er, behind hurts.... so I will go to bed.

Hope you enjoy the blog....
